How to get to the island

From Athens airport to the Piraeus port

By bus – The closest airport to Agistri is Athens International: ‘Eleftherios Venizelos’. On leaving the arrivals hall, you will find bus X96 outside, which takes you straight to the Port of Piraeus. The buses leave every 15/ 20 minutes during the day and about every 30 minutes at night. The bus stops several times on the way, the Piraeus harbour is about the last stop. The price of a ticket is € 5.00, and the average travelling time from the airport to the port is 90 minutes. Once you have purchased your ticket you must ‘cancel’it on the small orange machine within the bus.
By taxi – You can also take a yellow taxi to the port. The travel time can be less than the travel time by bus, depending on the amount of traffic. A taxi will cost around 45 euros.

From the port of Piraeus to Agistri island

At the port of Piraeus, the ferry boats and Flying Dolphins for Agistri leave from Gate 8, which is close to the X96 bus stop. Nearly all Flying Dolphins and ferry boats go to Agistri via Aegina island. Boat tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices on the quay. The Flying Dolphins arrive at Agistri at the port of Milos and the Ferry arrives at Skala. The Aktaion, Dionysos and Aktaion II hotels are located within walking distance from the port of Skala. When you arrive at the port of Milos, you can either take the local bus to Skala or arrange a taxi.
The ‘Agistri Express’ connects Aegina island with Agistri, an easy means of transport when you want to visit Aegina.
